At that moment she was changed
Like the Venus de Milo, this Venus has a few tricks up her sleeves.
No, wait. That doesn’t sound right. Of course. The Venus de Milo doesn’t have arms. Well, if she had been made out plastic there is a good chance that she would still have them.
I am a little bit out there. You might have noticed, but if you’re still here reading this then that means that you think that my quirky personality is cute and lovable. You do think that it is cute and lovable right? Never the less, this is my realm. Here is where I muse, play, and share my love for makeup, fashion, and gender equality among other things that sparkle.
I came up with the name because my obsession for small pixie like beings that flutter around like butterflies started much the same way as it did for many young girls yet it never went away. Which is what I used to write about on here.
I suppose that I was exposed to Peter Pan during my formative years, and though for most it disappears with age my interest has only grown. I think it was because once I learned that Tink wasn’t a real fairy I wanted to learn more about the folklore and background that inspired her.
Of course she still holds a warm spot in my heart, much like Navi from the Zelda games, but it has expanded, it has matured, and it is now just a part of who I am. When I first checked out a book from the library about fairies it was this awe inspiring moment. There was so much more to learn and I devoured the book. As time progressed I learned more, found more books, and began to decorate my room with memorabilia. When I was in my preteens my circle of friends changed. Suddenly the things that we were interested in as children wasn’t in anymore. What was in? Boys. Well, I didn’t have any interest in dating and so I became known as the baby. It wasn’t until my last year of college that I actually found the one for me. And while I would love to say that he shares my love of fairies, well… He does understand it and support it which is just as good.
So if you’re interested in a girl that loves fairies and fashion (mostly fashion), and I’m not ashamed to admit it, then you have come to the right place.
